Bedrock resource packs use manifest v2; custom block add-ons target 1.21.80. PBR exports declare separate Vibrant Visuals 1.21.120+ / RTX 1.21+ targets. Custom elytra texture pack maker for Minecraft Java
Import a cape design to map its six faces onto the elytra texture, or choose the existing elytra layout to preserve the imported pixels. Use the UV guide to inspect the face positions; the guide is not included in the exported image.
This Minecraft elytra texture pack maker exports a replacement Java resource pack. Both wings share the mirrored texture. The pack replaces the default elytra texture; it does not add name-based item variants. It does not unlock an account cape or guarantee that other players see the design; game rendering and multiplayer visibility still need validation.
Can a cape builder give me a custom cape in Minecraft?
This builder turns a cape design into a Java elytra texture pack. It does not grant an account cape or equip a custom cape on your player. For a downloadable cape design PNG, use Cape Editor. For the wing texture, import that PNG here, select the correct layout and inspect the mapped faces before exporting.
Builder cape, cape builder and elytra pack: different results
A cape builder can refer to designing a texture, while a search for a named Builder cape may concern an account reward. MCToolLab cannot grant or redeem account capes. This builder exports a Java resource pack that replaces the default elytra texture. Import an existing elytra sheet to preserve it, or select cape layout to map a cape design onto the wing faces. Both wings use a shared mirrored texture.

These examples are original files, not Minecraft screenshots. Download a sample, then import it with this page’s upload control. Example packs have not been tested in game.
Cape to elytra face mapping
Coordinates are [x, y, width, height] in a 64 × 32 PNG, with (0, 0) at the top-left. Each face keeps its orientation within the UV rectangle. Pixel-center nearest-neighbor sampling resizes the faces; the rest of the output sheet is transparent. Left and right wings share mirrored UVs, so this does not create two independent wing designs.

The model dimensions and texture origin were inspected from Mojang’s Java 1.21.1 client data. This static verification does not replace an in-game equipment test.
Install your elytra texture
Equip an elytra in the test world after enabling the pack. This changes the shared elytra texture for a viewer using the pack; it does not grant an account cape or make every other player download it. Choose Cape design to map each face, or Elytra texture to preserve an existing sheet unchanged. Cape front/back panels stretch from 10 × 16 to 10 × 20, and one-pixel edges become two pixels; transparency is preserved. The original vanilla wing model mirrors this one shared texture.
Java resource pack ZIP
- Use Java 1.21–1.21.1 for this format-34 export. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact.
- In Minecraft, open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder. Copy the ZIP into that folder.
- Return to Resource Packs, move the pack into the selected list, then choose Done. Give it priority over other packs changing the same texture or sound.
If Minecraft reports an incompatible version, check the target before enabling the pack. Renaming the ZIP does not convert its version. Test your result in a separate world.

Common problems & next steps
The design folds or appears on the wrong face
Check Import layout before uploading. Choose Cape design for a cape sheet and Elytra texture for an existing wing sheet. Undo restores the previous drawing. The face guide is only an overlay and is never exported.
Other players cannot see the same design
Resource textures are rendered by each viewer’s enabled packs. Their client must use the relevant pack; downloading yours does not change their settings.
My equipped cape overrides the look
Cape rendering and default elytra textures are separate systems. Check the game’s cape setting and test the exported elytra texture independently.
