Pack Merger
Merge resource packs from the same edition, review overlapping files, and choose which pack wins.
How to use Pack Merger
What you will get
Merge resource packs from the same edition, review overlapping files, and choose which pack wins. Output: Java ZIP or Bedrock MCPACK. Java resource packs target 1.21–1.21.1, format 34. Bedrock resource packs use manifest v2; custom block add-ons target 1.21.80. PBR exports declare separate Vibrant Visuals 1.21.120+ / RTX 1.21+ targets. See the export settings and compatibility note for this tool.
Minecraft resource pack merger with conflict control
Combine resource packs for the same edition and target version. The merger lists overlapping file paths and lets you reorder packs before downloading. The later pack wins when two inputs contain the same path.
Use the two sample packs to compare the stone-texture conflict in each order. The download includes a merge report. Supported language, sound and texture-atlas dictionaries retain independent entries; same-name entries are replaced as a whole by the later pack. Other JSON still uses whole-file priority, reported explicitly. Game behavior is not reconciled.
Can I merge texture packs and choose which pack wins?
Add packs for the same edition and target version, then review overlapping file paths. Later packs win a conflict; reorder them to change the result. The resource pack merger includes a report in the download. Choose entry merging for supported language, sound and atlas files, or explicit whole-file replacement. This does not merge skin images, arbitrary JSON or packs from different editions.
Resource pack merging and texture priority
Combine resource packs for the same edition and target version. Add them in order and review duplicate file paths; the last pack supplies each conflicting file. Reorder the inputs to change the winner, then download the merged pack and report. Supported language, sound and texture-atlas dictionaries can keep independent entries; identical entries and unhandled files use the later pack. This does not combine skin images or arbitrary game logic. Try the two original sample packs to see the stone-texture conflict.
Try an original example
Original samples A and B both replace stone with different colors. Reorder them to change the reported winning pack.
Download sample pack A · Download sample pack B · Example merged Java ZIP · Sample details & permission
The merged Java example adds A then B. B supplies the final stone texture; the merge report records conflicts and pack order.
These examples are original files, not Minecraft screenshots. Download a sample, then import it with this page’s upload control. Example packs have not been tested in game.
Install and inspect your merged pack
Add packs for the same edition and version. Later packs win matching file paths. Move a pack earlier or later, review the conflict list, then download. packlab-merge-report.json records the order and each conflicting path. Supported language, sound and atlas files can retain independent entries; same-name entries and unhandled files use later-pack priority. Inspect the report for the actual rule and any overwritten entries.
Java resource pack ZIP
- Use Java 1.21–1.21.1 for this format-34 export. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact.
- In Minecraft, open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder. Copy the ZIP into that folder.
- Return to Resource Packs, move the pack into the selected list, then choose Done. Give it priority over other packs changing the same texture or sound.
If Minecraft reports an incompatible version, check the target before enabling the pack. Renaming the ZIP does not convert its version. Test your result in a separate world.

Bedrock resource pack MCPACK
- Save the MCPACK and use your device’s Open with / Share action to open it with Minecraft Bedrock.
- Wait for the import result. In a test world’s settings, open Resource Packs → My Packs and activate the imported pack.
- Open the world and inspect the replaced texture. Check pack priority if another active pack changes the same item.
These files contain resources, not behavior packs. Import and menu options vary by device; direct console file import is not claimed. This site has not completed Minecraft or real-phone validation.

Common problems & next steps
One pack’s texture disappeared
A later pack contains the same file path. Reorder the list and check the conflict report; a merged ZIP can contain only one file at each path.
The merged pack lost custom JSON behavior
Only the listed language, sound and atlas files have entry-level merging. Same-name entries and other files still use whole-file priority. Check the report; custom game behavior is not reconciled.
Processing takes too long
Check the visible reading / compression progress. Use Cancel processing to stop; loaded packs remain available for another attempt. Inputs are limited to eight packs and 120 MB expanded total.
