Before you create. Converts 209 static textures, 19 record audio paths and 12 strip animations. Variable-duration interpolation can bake at 20 ticks/second within size limits. Experimental model output supports local parents, 1–128 cuboids, up to 32 same-size PNGs, Java single-axis rotation/rescale, quarter-turn/flipped UVs and omitted faces. Tint indices require explicit Bedrock biome rules; untinted faces stay separate. Single-material or opt-in archive conversion translates LabPBR 1.3 / oldPBR and Bedrock MER / MERS maps on 209 static paths; archive conversion also supports 12 mapped animated paths, with original-format backups and channel-loss reports. Independent Java material clocks and variable-duration interpolation can bake with exact repeated-frame reuse, up to 4096 playback entries and 256 stored frames within 1024 pixels high. Different frame resolutions align by nearest-neighbor sampling; differing Java frame counts need explicit timelines. Interpolation samples source bytes; cross-shader appearance is unverified. Height maps can transfer to Java _n alpha with flat normals, or Java _n alpha can export as grayscale block heightmaps. Choose normals or height explicitly; depth scale is not inferred. Bedrock targets are Vibrant Visuals 1.21.120+ or RTX 1.21+. Arbitrary geometry, Java mod code, unsupported shader conventions, oversized material timeline baking and liquid / atlas variants remain unsupported; game testing is required. Pack exports target the stated format; they have not been tested inside Minecraft. Keep a backup and test in a separate world.

How to use Pack Converter

Upload a pack and choose the conversion direction.
Review textures, record audio and animations, or select a supported Java cube model.
Download the pack or experimental add-on and test it in the target game.

What you will get

Convert supported textures, audio and animations, resolve local Java model parents / multiple materials, or translate LabPBR / oldPBR and Bedrock material maps. Output: Java ZIP or Bedrock MCPACK + report. Java resource packs target 1.21–1.21.1, format 34. Bedrock resource packs use manifest v2; custom block add-ons target 1.21.80. PBR exports declare separate Vibrant Visuals 1.21.120+ / RTX 1.21+ targets. See the export settings and compatibility note for this tool.

Java to Bedrock resource pack converter: supported textures

Convert 209 static textures, 19 native disc audio paths and 12 supported vertical-strip animations between Java and Bedrock. Frame order, timing and supported interpolation are translated; the report lists unmatched assets and rejected metadata.

An experimental model tool resolves local parent chains, common cube parents and up to 32 same-size PNG materials into a Bedrock 1.21.80 custom block add-on with its own ID. Element rotation/rescale, quarter-turn/flipped UVs and omitted faces are supported. Tint indices can bind explicit grass, foliage, water or no-tint rules. Single-material and opt-in archive workflows translate LabPBR 1.3 / oldPBR and Bedrock MER / MERS on 209 static paths, plus 12 mapped animated archive paths, retaining source PNGs and reporting channel losses. Bedrock PNG / TGA data can convert, honoring TGA priority and preserving original-format backups. Uniform Bedrock color / MER / MERS arrays and RGB / ARGB hex values expand to PNGs with source JSON backups. Independent Java material clocks and variable-duration interpolation can bake into a bounded shared strip, aligning differing frame resolutions and reusing exact combined frames for longer cycles; reports identify source grids, byte sampling and retained backups. Choose the convention and roughness interpretation explicitly. Arbitrary models, mod code, unsupported shader conventions, oversized material timeline baking, liquid replication and atlas variants remain unsupported. File checks do not establish complete game compatibility.

Can I convert Java mods to Bedrock or convert an MCPACK to Java?

Choose Java to Bedrock or Bedrock to Java to convert documented textures, disc audio and strip animations in a resource ZIP / MCPACK. Read matches and omissions before export. A separate experimental option converts supported Java cube models into new Bedrock block add-ons. For PBR, explicitly select LabPBR 1.3 or oldPBR and enable archive material conversion, or use the single-material workflow. Bedrock MER / MERS can convert back; original source PNGs and loss reports are included. It does not convert Java mods, general behavior logic, arbitrary models or other shader conventions. A separate builder also authors new Bedrock materials.

Choose a Minecraft texture pack maker for your asset

Use the dedicated totem, painting, crosshair or elytra maker to create a replacement texture pack from your artwork. Use the music tool for replacement Java or Bedrock disc audio. This converter transforms a documented set of existing static-texture paths between Java and Bedrock; it is not a general texture drawing application or an automatic full-pack designer. Use Merger for compatible same-edition packs with overlapping paths.

Java to Bedrock conversion, MCPACK files and mods

The pack converter maps 209 static textures, 19 native record tracks and 12 documented strip animations between editions. It translates supported frame lists, timing and interpolation, while reporting unsupported files and metadata. An experimental model tool resolves local parents and up to 32 same-size textures into a new Bedrock 1.21.80 block add-on with a custom identifier. Element rotation/rescale, quarter-turn/flipped UVs and omitted faces are translated. Variable-duration interpolated strips can be baked at 20 ticks/second. Tint indices require an explicit Bedrock grass, foliage, water or no-tint choice. LabPBR 1.3 / oldPBR and Bedrock MER / MERS can translate through single-material or opt-in archive conversion on documented static paths; archive conversion adds 12 mapped animated material targets. Source maps are backed up and unrepresentable channels are counted. Choose source and roughness conventions explicitly; shader lighting is not reproduced. Java mod code, general behavior, arbitrary models, other shader conventions, oversized material timeline baking, replicated liquids and atlas variants remain unsupported. Renaming a filename does not convert its contents.

Inspect and install a converted pack

For textures/audio/animations, choose the direction and upload a resource pack, inspect the report, then export matched content. Supported strip animations translate frame metadata; unsupported timing or atlas variants are reported. For a simple Java model, upload its pack and use the separate model option. Local model parents, common cube parents and up to 32 same-size PNG materials can resolve into an experimental Bedrock 1.21.80 custom block with a distinct ID; single-axis element rotation/rescale, quarter-turn or reversed UVs and omitted faces are supported; tint indices require explicit Bedrock biome-rule selections, with untinted faces bound separately. Activate both generated packs. It does not replace the original Java item or translate Java code or arbitrary geometry. For materials, enable archive PBR conversion and select LabPBR 1.3 or oldPBR, or expand the single-material converter. Supported static maps translate to / from Bedrock MER / MERS; source PNG backups and pixel-loss reports are included. Choose the roughness convention used by your workflow. Uniform color / MER / MERS arrays and RGB / ARGB hex values are expanded to PNGs, preserving the source JSON. All-uniform materials use 16 × 16 images; mixed materials follow their referenced image dimensions. Mapped animated materials retain shared frame order/timing across color and data strips. A one-frame data map repeats to match the strip and its original bytes remain in backups. Equal-duration blend flags are preserved with a nonlinear-conversion warning; independent Java data-map schedules synchronize across their complete common cycle. Variable-duration interpolated PBR samples source RGBA at 20 ticks/second before channel translation. This is a byte-sampled approximation, with no cross-shader lighting equivalence. Different layer resolutions use pixel-center nearest-neighbor sampling to the color grid, preserving original backups. Different Java frame counts need their own metadata; Bedrock layers need the same count or a static frame. Long cycles reuse exact combined frames when the original strip would exceed size limits. Sampling stops above 4096 playback entries or 4 million pixels; stored output stops above 256 frames or 1024 pixels high. Oversized cycles, nested references and other shader conventions are reported rather than converted. Source Bedrock height PNGs / uniform bytes transfer to Java _n alpha with flat normals. Java _n alpha can export as grayscale heightmaps for block targets; select normals or height and review losses. Same-folder PNG / TGA references may include their extension. TGA takes priority for extensionless references; output is PNG with original TGA backups. JPEG and premultiplied TGA remain reported omissions. RTX PBR targets blocks; choose Vibrant Visuals for item material output. Depth scale and lighting are not inferred. Java output needs a compatible shader; exact lighting and game behavior are unverified. The separate PBR builder remains available for authoring explicit Bedrock MER channels.

Java resource pack ZIP

  1. Use Java 1.21–1.21.1 for this format-34 export. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact.
  2. In Minecraft, open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder. Copy the ZIP into that folder.
  3. Return to Resource Packs, move the pack into the selected list, then choose Done. Give it priority over other packs changing the same texture or sound.

If Minecraft reports an incompatible version, check the target before enabling the pack. Renaming the ZIP does not convert its version. Test your result in a separate world.

Bedrock resource pack MCPACK

  1. Save the MCPACK and use your device’s Open with / Share action to open it with Minecraft Bedrock.
  2. Wait for the import result. In a test world’s settings, open Resource Packs → My Packs and activate the imported pack.
  3. Open the world and inspect the replaced texture. Check pack priority if another active pack changes the same item.

These files contain resources, not behavior packs. Import and menu options vary by device; direct console file import is not claimed. This site has not completed Minecraft or real-phone validation.

Common problems & next steps

No supported textures were found

Check the conversion direction and supported mapping list. A pack containing only models, sounds or unknown paths has no supported texture output.

Animations, sounds or models disappeared

Only documented record audio and strip animation mappings are converted; unknown paths or metadata are listed in the skipped report. Model conversion is a separate add-on export. The tool does not promise a full edition conversion.

I need to keep two packs together

Convert eligible textures first, then use Merger with packs for the same edition and target version. Review conflicts instead of assuming both files can occupy one path.
