Before you create. Java targets 75 HUD sprites including hearts, hunger, armor, hotbar and crosshair. Bedrock requires your 256 × 256 icons.png atlas; include edited icons before export. Crosshair-only edits preserve other icons. This edits textures, not HUD positions or dynamic mod behavior. Pack exports target the stated format; they have not been tested inside Minecraft. Keep a backup and test in a separate world.

How to use Crosshair & HUD Editor

Draw the crosshair or choose a preset.
Optionally include edited Java HUD sprites or your original Bedrock atlas.
Download the PNG or the selected edition resource pack.

What you will get

Edit a crosshair and 75 Java HUD sprites, or paint your imported Bedrock icon atlas, then export a resource pack. Output: 15 × 15 PNG, Java ZIP or Bedrock MCPACK. Java resource packs target 1.21–1.21.1, format 34. Bedrock resource packs use manifest v2; custom block add-ons target 1.21.80. PBR exports declare separate Vibrant Visuals 1.21.120+ / RTX 1.21+ targets. See the export settings and compatibility note for this tool.

Make a custom crosshair for Minecraft Java or Bedrock

Draw a custom crosshair, edit Java HUD textures such as hearts, hunger, armor and hotbar, or paint your own Bedrock icon atlas. Java has 75 enumerated sprites including the main crosshair. Include each extra texture before downloading the pack.

Crosshair-only Bedrock export patches the top-left 16 × 16 region, preserving other icons. Optional atlas editing changes the regions you paint or import. Java exports native-size HUD PNGs. Texture editing does not move HUD controls or add dynamic mod behavior. Client display still needs testing.

Is this a custom crosshair mod or a texture pack?

It exports resource-pack textures, without installing a mod. The main editor makes the crosshair; the extra HUD editor handles Java hearts, food, armor, hotbar and other listed sprites, or your original Bedrock atlas. This does not add dynamic targeting logic or reposition interface controls.

Install the crosshair texture pack

Minecraft crosshairs: PNG, resource pack or mod?

Draw a crosshair on the 15 × 15 grid, then optionally edit Java HUD sprites such as hearts, hunger, armor and hotbar in Edit more HUD textures. Bedrock uses your imported 256 × 256 icons.png atlas, which you can paint before export. Include the edited assets and download the correct edition. This is a texture workflow; it does not install a crosshair mod, move HUD controls or add dynamic targeting behavior.

Install your Java or Bedrock crosshair

Use the main editor for the 15 × 15 crosshair. For Java, include extra native-size sprites under Edit more HUD textures before exporting; listed targets cover hearts, armor, hunger, air, hotbar and bars. For Bedrock, import your original 256 × 256 icons.png and optionally edit it. Include the atlas before export; the main crosshair replaces its top-left 16 × 16 slot. Texture editing does not reposition the HUD or create a dynamic mod.

Java resource pack ZIP

  1. Use Java 1.21–1.21.1 for this format-34 export. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact.
  2. In Minecraft, open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder. Copy the ZIP into that folder.
  3. Return to Resource Packs, move the pack into the selected list, then choose Done. Give it priority over other packs changing the same texture or sound.

If Minecraft reports an incompatible version, check the target before enabling the pack. Renaming the ZIP does not convert its version. Test your result in a separate world.

Bedrock resource pack MCPACK

  1. Save the MCPACK and use your device’s Open with / Share action to open it with Minecraft Bedrock.
  2. Wait for the import result. In a test world’s settings, open Resource Packs → My Packs and activate the imported pack.
  3. Open the world and inspect the replaced texture. Check pack priority if another active pack changes the same item.

These files contain resources, not behavior packs. Import and menu options vary by device; direct console file import is not claimed. This site has not completed Minecraft or real-phone validation.

Common problems & next steps

No crosshair is visible

Check the transparent-pixel warning, first-person view and GUI visibility. Then inspect pack order and confirm that you exported the correct edition. Bedrock requires the original atlas for your target version.

It looks off-center

Use the pixel at (7, 7) as the center. Keep opposite arms balanced and do not add a surrounding margin outside the 15 × 15 canvas.

Can I use this as a complete HUD pack?

The extra editor supports listed Java HUD sprites and the imported Bedrock atlas. It changes textures; interface positions, inventory layouts and dynamic mod behavior are not generated.
